| Description | There is a solo for Saxophone and a shorter one for trombone later in the piece. Initially the longer solo was for a horn to try to mimic the Flugle Horn that Mangione uses in the original, but for the sake of the ensemble this was written for, it was switched to sax. This is a bit of a chop buster especially if played at a quicker tempo. The longer this piece goes the more intensity it seems to require. If you don't still have energy at the end a lot of the feel of the piece is lost. |
