This is a piece written for the KKY AH Chapter wind ensemble.

For the calendar year of 2006 I served as the 2nd Vice President (also referred to as a Pledge Trainer by some) for the chapter. As part of our membership process, prospective members are required to do certain tasks assigned by brothers. My tasks was for them to do an original composition or arrangement and to tell me a little about it.

In Spring 2006 one of my candidates (Angie St. George) gave me a piece entitled "My First Song Ever". It was a duet for clarinet (her primary instrument). When she talked to me about this piece she was understandably timid about it but I always remember her saying, "Well I like it...it makes me happy. The part in the middle makes me laugh every time I hear it."

Later on we decided to do some things with a woodwind ensemble. The ensemble never completely materialized but when we proposed to do it, I decided to expand the piece that Angie had done and this is the result.
