| | Description | This is a full Marching Band arrangement of Thunderstruck. If you're thinking of it in terms of the real song, then this arrangement contains:
- Introduction
- First Verse
- Transition
- Chorus
- Refrain
- Chorus
The woodwinds carry the lead guitar part through the first half of the song until it fades away. In order to make that lick playable for winds, I broke it up into sixteenth and eighth note rhythms echoed between first and second parts.
In the beginning there is kind of a terraced dynamic on the quarter notes that are meant to mimic people yelling, "thunder." You can try to bring that out more than it is in the playback. Really almost any unique part that enters in (especially in the middle voices) can crescendo in.
The middle voices (mellos and saxes) are on supporting guitar parts for most of the song.
The trumpets, trombones, and baritones carry the melody through the first verse with the low brass breaking off to cover the guitar power chords.
After that the trumpets and flutes/piccs carry the melody for the rest of the piece.
