| Description | C.O.M. was written as one piece and has been broken up into two parts. C.O.M. is probably easiest to explain as being short for combat. But the inspiration for it came from two marching band pieces. One is called "Gator Maximus" that was written by Matt Sexton for the UF band an is based off of one of the themes in Gladiator. The second one is the popular "Coming to America" theme as it's played by a lot of HBCU show style bands. So in my mind I was calling this "Coming Of Maximus" or COM for short. The piece was originally written as a whole but can also be split up into individual parts, COM I and COM II. I've made the mp3 and PDF available as parts. |
